Safety is Our Number 1 Priority

for all customers and staff at Dutch Springs.  Dive Professionals work around the lake at staff lookout locations keeping an eye on the bubbles and making sure the divers are safe. Medics work throughout the property, both with divers non-divers.  They are our first response to any emergency situation.  Joining the lake safety staff is a chance to make new friends and build relationships that will last a lifetime. Our safety staff positions are available April through November, with potential to work also during our off season.

Lakestaff- Dive Professional

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be a dive professional- DM, AI or Instructor
  • Must have your own liability insurance (not a shop policy)
  • Must be able to work flexible days April thru November
Responsibilities:
  • Identifying and Notifying the medic of any emergency
  • Assisting in emergencies
  • Parking cars in the morning and enforcing parking rules
  • Walking the property an engaging the customer informing them about times, rules and regulations
  • Watching all customers- divers, open water swimmers, snorkelers, or anyone in the water by the lookout you are responsible for- to ensure safety
  • Customer service at the Staff Lookout
  • Please Note: This is NOT a teaching position

Medic

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be a Paramedic or EMT
  • Must be National or PA certified (and provide proper credentials)
  • Must be able to work flexible days April thru November
Responsibilities:
  • Assessing and treating injured guests- divers and non-divers
  • Responsible for coordinating any emergency situation
  • Parking cars in the morning and enforcing parking rules
  • Walking the property an engaging the customer informing them about times, rules and regulations
  • Watching all customers- divers, open water swimmers, snorkelers, or anyone in the water by the lookout you are responsible for- to ensure safety
  • Customer service at the Staff Lookout
General Requirements:
  • Candidates must be outgoing, customer service oriented people with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Punctuality is mandatory and availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays is a must
  • Creative, ambitious, positive, and energetic personality with the ability to motivate others
  • Candidates must have a high degree of professionalism
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have availability April thru November
